Ben's life-long passion for music has led him along many musical avenues and has seen him fill a variety of different roles. As a keyboard player, Ben has had the honour of sharing the stage with greats such as moe., Jewel, The Philosopher Kings, Christina Aguilera, Richard Underhill, and many more. He is currently playing in a variety of different projects, including Dynamo & Badnutbeats (electro-acoustic/jam duo), King Sunshine (8pc Disco/House), Peter Katz & The Curious (Folk/Rock/Pop), and The Mae Cromwell Band (R&B/Disco/Funk). Ben also performs periodically with artists such as Shalyn Gray (Blues/R&B), Rhymestone (Hip Hop), Catfish (Blues), and The Void (ambient groove). You'll also find Ben credited on many recordings as a session player.
As a composer, Ben's most recent success is the inclusion of his piece "Undertow" in the award-winning, feature documentary Sharkwater. Ben also scored the Bravofact film Silent As A Mouse, as well as independent film The Human Number. Other compositions have been featured in short films including the Port53 Films production, My Dead Friend Gill. He has also worked on music submissions for Alliance Atlantis and video game developers, Digital Extremes. Ben also composes music strictly for his own amusement. So you'll always find him working on something new. Although composition for film/tv, games etc. is Ben's most recent exploration in music, he is very excited about the beginnings of his composition career.
Throughout his career, Ben has been deeply involved in the production aspects of recording music. As producer or co-producer for many of his own projects, and numerous other artists, Ben has honed his abilities to create the sounds he envisions.
Using the studio and the stage as outlets for his creative passion, Ben has developed broad knowledge of music production and performance. He is always looking for new and exciting projects to further expand his skills.
