With influences such as the Carter Family and Hank Williams, you know you'll be hearing "Old Timey" country stringband stuff from the pen of Bob Hannan. Bob has one of those voices that could sing right alongside the great country music vocalists. He knows scads of tunes, from ancient Child ballads right up to his own self-penned "lonesome" numbers, and he'd sing them all to you given the right evening. He's a thumb-picking guitar player as well as a more than adept autoharpist.

You can hear Bob with his regular band, The Backstabbers as well as his own occasional combo The Three Dollar Bills. It is always a pleasure when Bob sings one of his own compositions with heart and a deft way with words.
