-- Bio --

Grainne [pronounced Grawn-ya] hails from a small town north of Toronto.

Of Irish descent and youngest of 5 musical children, she carries the legacy of generations of musicians and artists.

Gifted with a natural artistic ability - both as a musician and a painter - she recorded her first song at age 4, a cover version of the Beatles "Baby You Can Drive My Car". Growing up, she listened to everything with a voracious appetite, from Irish reels to AC/DC to Neil Young, which grew into her own distinct, warm sound often juxtaposed with modern-day social and environmental concerns.

Grainne's debut recording "All The Money", a 7 song EP produced by Chris "Lurch" Rudyk (The Guess Who, Amy Milan, Great Big Sea, Blackie and The Rodeo Kings), is enjoying rave reviews from Canada to the Netherlands. Recent appearances have been on Roger's Cable 10 Daytime, Take 5 CIUT, It's Alive/CIUT, All Over The Map/CKLN. Airplay has been on CBC, CIUT, CKLN, Radio FM Goud/Belgium, Crossroads Radio BRTO/Netherlands, Harris Radio/NYC. All of these appearances and airplay are growing testament to Grainne's universal appeal and her ability to reach a wide, appreciative audience.

Grainne is currently in the studio with producer Moe Berg (founding member The Pursuit of Happiness, producer of The Clicks, The Poplars, The Monoxides, Jennifer Foster, The Grace Babies, etc.) working an a new albums of originals with a distinct rock edge. It will be released in late 2009.
